Gene Pool

Gene Pool began as a simple idea taking a bottle filled with water from a swimming pool and labeling it with THIS IS THE SHALLOW END DO NOT DIVE. The project expanded to be a series of bottles of water that all contained swimming pool water from different days. It seemed that each bottle would contain a mix of various peoples Genetic material. The bottles were stacked in a metre cube and illuminated from inside. The work was used in a slightly altered form as part of an installation which can be seen here.
